Children’s Ministry

Children’s ministry at The Fountain is one of our primary areas of focus. It begins with a Sunday morning experience that is tailored specifically for helping kids grow as followers of Jesus Christ. We believe learning about Jesus and serving our community should be fun, exciting, challenging, and should help kids grow into the people God created them to be.

When you bring your children to The Fountain, we know they are your greatest treasure. We want to treat them that way and give you the peace of mind that they are safe and in an environment that will produce healthy relationships with God and others. That peace of mind begins with our secure electronic check-in station where you will be greeted by friendly people who want to know how we can best serve your kids. Each volunteer that works with your children have gone through a background check and have been trained in our Safe Sanctuary Policies.

Lake X-Stream is our ministry for kids from Kindergarten through 5th grades. Lake X-Stream is an outdoor lake adventure-themed worship experience designed just for kids. Your kids will learn Bible stories in a fun environment that looks more like a camping and rafting trip. Deep N’ Wide is the ministry for Nursery to Pre-K kids. In Deep N’ Wide, your children will learn that God’s love for them is deep and wide (Ephesians 3:18). They will learn that Jesus calls them to love God and serve others the way Christ first loves us; with a Deep N’ Wide love.

The children’s ministry is designed with three main components or stations. The first is an activity based game or project in smaller groups that is designed to have kids experience a teaching that will be covered later. The kids will talk about the activity with a group leader to help them understand the object of the lesson.

The second activity is the Big Group Worship Time where kids will have a worship service led by fun, kid-friendly worship music, upbeat skits and videos teaching the Bible story, and an environment that helps kids apply the lesson to their life.

The third station is a time of small group break out sessions where trained leaders help children to make sense of the Bible teaching and find ways they can apply it. Our goal is not just about repeating facts, but helping kids to live out the gospel during the week. After the close of small group discussion, the leaders will lead the kids in prayer to finish the exciting kid-friendly worship experience.
